Product Overview

ORS-MUST is a scientifically formulated oral rehydration solution designed to prevent and treat dehydration caused by diarrhea, vomiting, excessive sweating, and other conditions leading to fluid loss. It follows the WHO-recommended formula for effective rehydration and electrolyte balance restoration.

Indications

Prevention and treatment of dehydration due to diarrhea and vomiting. Replenishment of electrolytes lost during excessive sweating. Supportive therapy for heat exhaustion and fluid loss. Useful for individuals suffering from mild to moderate dehydration.

Dosage & Administration

As directed by the physician. Preparation: Dissolve one sachet (4.2 gm) in 200 ml of clean drinking water. Stir well before consuming. Dosage recommendations: Adults & Children over 5 years: 200-400 ml after each loose stool. Children (2-5 years): 100-200 ml after each loose stool. Infants (under 2 years): 50-100 ml after each loose stool, given in small sips or spoonfuls.

Adverse Effects

Generally well tolerated. Rare cases of mild bloating or nausea.

Contraindications

Severe dehydration requiring intravenous fluids. Patients with renal failure or severe electrolyte imbalance. Hypersensitivity to any ingredient in the formulation.

Warnings & Precautions

Do not exceed the recommended dose. Use only freshly prepared solution and discard any unused portion after 24 hours. Store in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight. Keep out of reach of children.
