CANSEF CL SOFTGEL CAP is a targeted dual-action vaginal suppository designed to clear mixed vaginal infections effectively. It provides rapid local relief from severe itching, abnormal discharge, and burning sensations by eliminating both bacterial and fungal pathogens.
Indications
This medication is primarily indicated for:
- Mixed Vaginal Infections: Resolves simultaneous bacterial and fungal overgrowth in the vaginal canal.
- Vaginal Candidiasis: Clears thick, white yeast infections accompanied by severe vulvar itching.
- Bacterial Vaginosis: Eradicates anaerobic bacterial populations causing malodorous discharge.
Dosage & Administration
One softgel capsule should be inserted deeply into the vaginal canal once daily, preferably at bedtime, for a continuous course of 3 to 7 days as instructed by the clinician.
Adverse Effects
Localized adverse effects include a transient vaginal burning sensation, localized erythema, pelvic cramps, or vulvar irritation.

Contraindications
Do not administer to individuals with a history of hypersensitivity to clindamycin, clotrimazole, or lincosamide antibiotics, as well as patients with regional enteritis or ulcerative colitis.
Warnings & Precautions
For vaginal use only; do not ingest orally. This product may compromise the structural integrity of rubber contraceptives like condoms and diaphragms; alternate non-latex protection methods are advised.
Drug Interactions
Concomitant topical use with other vaginal products or douches should be avoided. Systemic absorption may show antagonism when combined with erythromycin-based therapies.
