Product Overview
J.PRIM is a highly effective progestogen tablet indicated for a diverse range of gynecological conditions related to hormonal imbalances. It provides precise therapeutic control over the uterine lining to normalize or adjust menstrual cycles.
Indications
This medication is primarily indicated for:
- Dysfunctional uterine bleeding and menorrhagia.
- Primary and secondary amenorrhea.
- Management of endometriosis and severe dysmenorrhea.
- Timely postponement or regulation of the menstrual period.
Dosage & Administration
The dosage depends entirely on the clinical indication. For menorrhagia, the standard dose is 1 tablet three times daily for 10 days. For menstrual postponement, 1 tablet three times daily starting three days prior to the expected onset of menstruation.
Adverse Effects
Common side effects include breakthrough bleeding, spotting, changes in menstrual flow, breast tenderness, fluid retention, headache, dizziness, and mild nausea.

Contraindications
Contraindicated in patients with active thromboembolic disorders, severe hepatic impairment, undiagnosed vaginal bleeding, known or suspected progestogen-dependent neoplasms, and during pregnancy.
Warnings & Precautions
Use with caution in patients with hypertension, epilepsy, asthma, migraine history, or cardiac dysfunction. Discontinue therapy immediately if signs of thromboembolism, visual disturbances, or sudden severe headaches develop.
Drug Interactions
Metabolism is accelerated by hepatic enzyme inducers such as rifampicin, phenytoin, carbamazepine, and phenobarbital, which can compromise its therapeutic efficacy. Adjustments may be required if taking antidiabetic agents.
