AQUAO PLUS MOUTH WASH is a clinical-grade antiseptic oral rinse formulated with 0.12% Chlorhexidine Gluconate. It targets oral bacterial plaque biofilm, reducing gum inflammation, bleeding, and periodontal pathogens. It provides a long-lasting antimicrobial shield that keeps the mouth healthy and refreshed.
Indications
AQUAO PLUS MOUTH WASH is indicated for:
- Gingivitis: Reduces severe swelling, redness, and bleeding of the gums.
- Dental Plaque Control: Inhibits the accumulation and maturation of bacterial plaque.
- Post-Oral Surgery Care: Promotes localized healing and prevents secondary infections after extractions or periodontal procedures.
- Aphthous Ulcers: Prevents secondary bacterial colonization in mouth ulcers.
Dosage & Administration
Measure 15 ml of undiluted AQUAO PLUS MOUTH WASH. Rinse thoroughly inside the mouth for 30 seconds, then expectorate. Use twice daily, morning and evening after brushing teeth, or as recommended by a dental specialist. Do not swallow or rinse with water immediately after use.
Adverse Effects
Common adverse effects include:
- Superficial staining of teeth, tongue, or silicate fillings
- Transient alteration or disturbance of taste perception

Contraindications
Contraindicated in individuals with a known history of severe hypersensitivity or allergic responses to Chlorhexidine Gluconate.
Warnings & Precautions
For oral use only; do not swallow. Avoid contact with eyes and ears. To ensure maximum clinical effectiveness, do not eat, drink, or brush teeth for at least 30 minutes post-rinsing. Staining is reversible and can be removed by professional dental cleaning.
Drug Interactions
Chlorhexidine activity can be inactivated by anionic surfactants commonly present in standard toothpastes. It is advised to rinse thoroughly with water after brushing before using the mouthwash, or use them at distinct times.
