Product Overview
AXCEL is a rapidly acting, highly reliable analgesic and anti-inflammatory combination designed to treat mild-to-moderate pain and reduce fever. It is widely used across orthopedic and general practice to restore function in painful inflammatory states.
Indications
This medicine is indicated for the effective relief of pain and inflammation in:
- Osteoarthritis & Rheumatoid Arthritis: Eases chronic joint pain, swelling, and morning stiffness.
- Ankylosing Spondylitis: Improves spinal mobility and relieves back pain.
- Acute Musculoskeletal Disorders: Resolves pain from sprains, strains, fibrositis, and tenosynovitis.
- General Analgesia: Relieves post-traumatic pain, dental pain, and gynecological pain.
Dosage & Administration
The standard recommended dose for adults is 1 tablet taken twice daily (morning and evening), preferably after food or with milk to protect the gastric mucosa.
Adverse Effects
The most common side effects are mild and transient gastrointestinal issues:
- Nausea, dyspepsia, or epigastric discomfort
- Diarrhea or flatulence
- Dizziness or light headache
- Allergic skin rash or pruritus

Contraindications
Contraindicated in individuals with active peptic ulceration, a history of recurring GI bleeding, severe cardiac failure, advanced renal or hepatic impairment, or patients who experience asthma attacks upon taking aspirin.
Warnings & Precautions
Use with caution in elderly patients due to an increased risk of gastrointestinal complications. Avoid simultaneous intake of alcohol or other paracetamol-containing medications to prevent potential liver injury.
Drug Interactions
Concomitant use with oral anticoagulants like Warfarin increases the risk of bleeding. May diminish the therapeutic effect of diuretics and antihypertensive drugs, while increasing serum Lithium and Methotrexate levels.
