TRYPTIMOL 250 SUSP is a high-efficacy, child-friendly antipyretic and analgesic oral formulation containing Acetaminophen. Indications
TRYPTIMOL 250 SUSP is indicated for:
- Fever Reduction: Manages high body temperature caused by viral infections, colds, flu, or post-immunization reactions.
- Pain Relief: Eases mild-to-moderate pediatric pain, including teething pain, toothache, earache, and muscular aches.
Dosage & Administration
The dose is determined based on the child's body weight and age. Shake the bottle well before use. The typical dose is 10 to 15 mg/kg per dose, administered every 4 to 6 hours as needed. Do not exceed 4 doses within a 24-hour window.
Adverse Effects
Adverse effects are rare when administered at recommended therapeutic doses, but can include:

Contraindications
Contraindicated in pediatric patients with severe hepatic impairment, acute liver failure, or known hypersensitivity to Acetaminophen.
Warnings & Precautions
Do not exceed the recommended dose, as excessive doses can cause severe or fatal liver damage. Do not administer concurrently with other paracetamol-containing products or over-the-counter cold remedies.
Drug Interactions
Concomitant use with enzyme-inducing anticonvulsants (e.g., phenytoin, carbamazepine) may increase hepatotoxic risks. Absorption rates can be accelerated by metoclopramide or decreased by cholestyramine.
