Product Overview
CI BEND TAB is a single-dose, broad-spectrum anthelmintic medication designed to eliminate intestinal parasites and worm infestations. The chewable form ensures straightforward administration across diverse patient populations.
Indications
This formulation is indicated for:
- Neurocysticercosis: Eradication of tissue larval forms of Taenia solium.
- Hydatid Disease: Management of echinococcal cystic infestations.
- Common Worm Infestations: Cleanses roundworm, hookworm, whipworm, and pinworm burdens.
Dosage & Administration
For standard intestinal deworming: A single oral dose of one 400mg tablet, chewed thoroughly. Complex systemic tissue infections require extended schedules under clinician supervision.

Short-term use may cause mild, temporary headache, abdominal discomfort, nausea, or dizziness.

Contraindications
Strictly contraindicated during pregnancy due to high teratogenic risks. Contraindicated in individuals with severe hypersensitivity to benzimidazole derivatives.
Warnings & Precautions
Exclude pregnancy before initiating therapy. Patients on prolonged high-dose protocols should undergo baseline and periodic hepatic enzyme and blood count examinations.
Drug Interactions
Dexamethasone, praziquantel, and cimetidine increase the steady-state plasma concentrations of the active albendazole sulfoxide metabolite.
