Product Overview
GASOCIAN is a fast-acting liquid suspension formulated to relieve hyperacidity, heartburn, and acid reflux. By pairing two fast-acting antacids with a specialized natural barrier agent, it neutralizes excess stomach acid while physically blocking acid backwash. This provides rapid comfort and long-lasting protection for the esophageal lining.
Indications
GASOCIAN is indicated for the rapid relief of symptoms associated with gastrointestinal acidity:
- Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease (GERD): Prevents the painful upward flow of gastric juices into the food pipe.
- Heartburn and Acid Indigestion: Rapidly neutralizes excess acid to ease retrosternal burning sensations.
- Post-Meal Dyspepsia: Relieves symptoms of bloating, sour burps, and heavy epigastric discomfort after eating.
- Reflux in Pregnancy: Manages gestational acid reflux under medical guidance.
Dosage & Administration
Shake the bottle thoroughly before opening. Adults and children over 12 years of age should take 10 ml to 20 ml orally after meals and before bedtime, up to four times daily, or as directed by a healthcare professional. Do not consume directly from the bottle; use a proper calibrated measuring cup.
Adverse Effects
Side effects are uncommon due to the localized mechanism of action. Some patients may experience mild flatulence, bloating, eructation (burping), or minor constipation due to the calcium content. Allergic manifestations like rash or pruritus occur very rarely.

Contraindications
Contraindicated in individuals with known hypersensitivity to sodium alginate, calcium carbonate, sodium carbonate, or any excipients in the suspension. It is also contraindicated in patients with severe renal insufficiency, hypercalcemia, or conditions associated with low stomach acid levels (achlorhydria).
Warnings & Precautions
Each 10 ml dose contains a significant amount of sodium; use with extreme caution in patients on strict sodium-restricted diets, such as those managing congestive heart failure, hepatic cirrhosis, or hypertension. If symptoms do not improve after 7 days of continuous use, clinical evaluation should be sought. Avoid prolonged, unmonitored daily use.
Drug Interactions
The antacid components and physical raft can impair the absorption of concurrent medications. Always maintain a strict gap of at least 2 hours between taking GASOCIAN and other oral drugs, particularly tetracyclines, fluoroquinolones, iron salts, ketoconazole, and digoxin.
Storage Instructions
Store below 30°C in a dry place. Do not refrigerate or freeze. Keep the bottle tightly capped after every use.
