Product Overview
MCIAN is a specialized topical triple-action ointment engineered to treat and prevent infections in minor wounds, chronic ulcers, and post-surgical sites. The addition of Sucralfate creates a protective anatomical barrier that speeds up tissue regeneration while controlling microbial contamination.
Indications
This topical preparation is indicated for:
- Infected Skin Wounds: Treatment and prevention of infections in traumatic lacerations, abrasions, and minor burns.
- Chronic Ulcers: Managing diabetic foot ulcers, venous stasis ulcers, and pressure bed sores.
- Post-Surgical Dressing: Protecting surgical incisions and post-cosmetic procedure wounds from contamination.
Dosage & Administration
Cleanse the affected area thoroughly. Apply a thin film of MCIAN ointment onto the wound or ulcer one to three times daily, or as directed by a healthcare professional. The wound may be left open or covered with a sterile gauze bandage.
Adverse Effects
Common localized effects include:
- Mild burning or stinging sensation at the application site
- Local irritation, redness, or itching
- Temporary skin dryness or transient brown staining

Contraindications
Contraindicated in patients with a history of hypersensitivity to iodine, povidone, ornidazole, or sucralfate. Avoid application in patients with thyroid disease or active renal disorders due to systemic iodine absorption risks.
Warnings & Precautions
For external use only; do not ingest or allow contact with the eyes, nose, or mouth. Avoid long-term application over large body surface areas to prevent excessive systemic absorption of iodine and nitroimidazole components.
Drug Interactions
Systemic absorption is minimal, limiting major interactions. However, avoid concurrent application with other topical antiseptics containing mercury, silver, or hydrogen peroxide to prevent mutual inactivation.
Storage Instructions
Store below 25°C in a dry place. Do not freeze, and close the tube cap tightly after every use.
