Contraindications
Contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to meropenem, other carbapenems, or history of severe anaphylactic reactions to beta-lactam antibiotics.
Warnings & Precautions
Serious hypersensitivity reactions require immediate emergency intervention. Prolonged use may result in overgrowth of non-susceptible organisms, including Clostridioides difficile. Monitor renal and hepatic functions closely in elderly or critically ill patients.
Drug Interactions
Probenecid competes for active tubular secretion, significantly extending the elimination half-life of meropenem. Co-administration with valproic acid may lead to dangerous reductions in valproic acid serum levels, increasing seizure risks.

Store the dry powder below 30°C. Protect from light. Use reconstituted solutions immediately or within approved storage time frames.
