Product Overview
THIANEX 4 is a potent fixed-dose combination combining a muscle relaxant with a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) to relieve painful muscle spasms. It targets both the inflammatory root cause and the neuromuscular spasm component to restore physical mobility quickly.
Indications
This medication is primarily indicated for the acute relief of pain associated with:
- Muscle Spasms: Severe muscle cramps due to trauma, strains, or sprains.
- Low Back Pain: Acute lumbago, sciatica, and vertebral body damage.
- Spine Conditions: Pain management in ankylosing spondylitis and torticollis.
- Joint Inflammations: Acute flares of osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis.
Dosage & Administration
The standard adult dose is 1 tablet taken twice daily (morning and evening) immediately after meals to minimize gastric irritation. Do not exceed the prescribed duration of therapy.

- Drowsiness, dizziness, or somnolence

Contraindications
Contraindicated in patients with active peptic ulcers, gastrointestinal bleeding, severe hepatic or renal impairment, severe heart failure, pregnancy, lactation, and in individuals with a history of asthma induced by aspirin or other NSAIDs.
Warnings & Precautions
Thiocolchicoside can lower the seizure threshold; use with extreme caution in patients with a history of epilepsy or cerebral lesions. Avoid operating heavy machinery or driving due to potential drowsiness.
Drug Interactions
Avoid concurrent use with other NSAIDs, oral anticoagulants (like Warfarin), and antiplatelet drugs due to an elevated risk of GI bleeding. May decrease the efficacy of antihypertensive agents and diuretics.
Storage Instructions
Store at room temperature not exceeding 30°C. Keep away from direct sunlight, heat, and moisture.
