APHYLINE- 100 CAP is a specialized bronchodilator and mucolytic capsule designed for effective management of obstructive airway diseases. Containing 100 mg of Acebrophylline, it works directly on the lungs to relax constricted bronchial tubes and thin dense, sticky sputum. This targeted therapy facilitates effortless breathing, reduces coughing intensity, and promotes overall respiratory health.
Indications
This capsule is indicated for:
- Bronchial Asthma: Maintenance therapy for relieving breathlessness, wheezing, and chest tightness.
- Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD): Daily management of chronic bronchitis and emphysema to improve pulmonary function.
- Acute & Chronic Bronchitis: Thinning tenacious sputum to facilitate productive coughing and airway clearance.
- Recurrent Bronchospasm: Preventing inflammatory constriction of bronchial airways.
Dosage & Administration
The standard adult dosage is one capsule (100 mg) taken twice daily, morning and evening, preferably after meals. Swallow the hard gelatin capsule whole with plenty of water; do not chew or open.
Adverse Effects
- Epigastric discomfort, nausea, or vomiting
- Abdominal distension or heartburn
- Headache, insomnia, or dizziness
- Transient palpitations or tachycardia (rare)

Contraindications
Contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity to Acebrophylline, ambroxol, theophylline, or other xanthine derivatives. Do not use in patients suffering from acute myocardial infarction, hypotension, cardiac arrhythmias, or active peptic ulcers.
Warnings & Precautions
Use with caution in elderly patients and those with congestive heart failure, chronic liver dysfunction, hyperthyroidism, or severe renal impairment. Do not exceed the prescribed dose, and monitor patients with pre-existing cardiovascular disorders.
Drug Interactions
Concomitant administration with cimetidine, erythromycin, ciprofloxacin, or allopurinol may reduce the clearance of Acebrophylline, increasing plasma levels and risk of side effects. Co-administration with sympathomimetics or other xanthine derivatives may increase cardiac stimulation.
Storage Instructions
Store below 30°C in a dry place, protected from direct sunlight and moisture. Keep out of reach of children.
