Product Overview
BILAXEN-M is a potent rational combination therapy formulated to combat complex respiratory and skin allergies. By targeting both histamine and leukotriene pathways, it provides comprehensive control over chronic allergic manifestations.
Indications
This medication is primarily indicated for:
- Allergic Asthma: Prevents exercise-induced asthma and allergen-triggered bronchospasms.
- Seasonal and Perennial Allergic Rhinitis: Controls persistent nasal congestion, sneezing, and rhinorrhea.
- Chronic Idiopathic Urticaria: Treats skin allergies unresponsive to monotherapy.
Dosage & Administration
The recommended dose for adults and adolescents aged 15 years and older is one tablet daily, preferably taken in the evening or as directed by the physician.

Common side effects may include:
- Somnolence or drowsiness
- Headache and abdominal pain
- Upper respiratory tract infection
- Dry mouth or pharyngitis

Contraindications
Contraindicated in individuals with documented hypersensitivity to bilastine, montelukast, or any excipients present in the formulation.
Warnings & Precautions
Patients should be monitored for neuropsychiatric symptoms (such as agitation, sleep disturbances, or depression) associated with montelukast therapy. Not intended for the immediate reversal of acute asthma attacks.
Drug Interactions
Phenobarbital, phenytoin, and rifampicin may decrease montelukast plasma levels due to hepatic enzyme induction. Bilastine absorption is reduced by food and acidic fruit juices.

Store below 30°C in a cool, dry place. Protect from direct light, heat, and moisture.
