Product Overview
BIOCOLD 500 is an adult anti-cold tablet designed to relieve symptoms of the common cold, influenza, and seasonal allergies. It effectively combines an antipyretic, a decongestant, and an antihistamine to ensure uninterrupted daily activities.
Indications
This medication is primarily indicated for:
- Pyrexia and General Body Aches: Resolves fever, headache, and muscle pain from viral infections.
- Sinusitis and Rhinorrhea: Clears nasal congestion and controls runny nose.
- Allergic Manifestations: Abates persistent sneezing and upper respiratory pruritus.
Dosage & Administration
The standard adult dosage is one tablet three to four times a day, maintaining a minimum gap of four to six hours between doses. Maximum 4 tablets in 24 hours.

Common side effects include:
- Mild sedation or drowsiness
- Dryness of mouth, nose, or throat
- Dizziness or blurred vision
- Nausea

Contraindications
Contraindicated in patients with severe coronary artery disease, narrow-angle glaucoma, severe hepatic dysfunction, or hypersensitivity to sympathomimetic amines.
Warnings & Precautions
Caution should be exercised in patients with diabetes mellitus, hyperthyroidism, prostatic hypertrophy, or stable cardiovascular diseases. Avoid operating heavy machinery if drowsiness occurs.
Drug Interactions
Interacts severely with Monoamine Oxidase Inhibitors (MAOIs). May enhance the central depressant action of alcohol, hypnotics, and sedatives.
