CELCLAV 625 (NEW) is an advanced, high-efficacy antibiotic tablet used to combat a wide array of bacterial infections affecting the respiratory, urinary, and soft tissue systems. The addition of Clavulanic Acid protects the core antibiotic molecule from bacterial defense mechanisms.
Indications
This medication is primarily indicated for:
- Otitis Media & Sinusitis: Resolves resistant bacterial infections of the middle ear and nasal sinuses.
- Lower Respiratory Tract Infections: Treats acute exacerbations of chronic bronchitis and lobar pneumonia.
- Skin and Soft Tissue Infections: Clears cellulitis, animal bites, and severe dental abscesses.
Dosage & Administration
The standard adult dosage is one tablet twice or thrice daily, ideally consumed at the start of a meal to optimize intestinal absorption and minimize gastrointestinal intolerance.
Adverse Effects
Common adverse outcomes include diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, oral or vaginal candidiasis, and transient maculopapular rashes.

Contraindications
Contraindicated in patients with a history of penicillin or cephalosporin hypersensitivity, or individuals with a past history of amoxicillin-associated cholestatic jaundice.
Warnings & Precautions
Monitor hepatic and renal parameters during prolonged therapeutic regimens. Adjust the daily dosing frequency in patients suffering from severe renal impairment.
Drug Interactions
Concomitant administration with Allopurinol increases the incidence of skin rashes. Probenecid co-prescription can slow down the renal clearance of Amoxicillin, raising its serum levels.
Storage Instructions
Store below 25°C in a dry place. Keep the tablets inside their original strip pack to shield them from atmospheric moisture.
