Indications
This formulation is indicated for:
- Migraine Prophylaxis: Prevention of classic (with aura) or common (without aura) migraine attacks.
- Vestibular Disorders: Symptomatic relief from severe vertigo caused by vestibular system dysfunction.
Dosage & Administration
The standard starting adult dose is 5mg to 10mg daily, taken at bedtime to manage potential sedative effects. Adjust under medical supervision based on patient tolerance.

Frequent effects include weight gain, increased appetite, somnolence, fatigue, or depressive moods.

Contraindications
Contraindicated in patients with a current or past history of depressive disorders, pre-existing Parkinson's disease, or extrapyramidal symptoms.
Warnings & Precautions
Elderly patients should be carefully observed for extrapyramidal symptoms or depressive episodes. Discontinue treatment if no clinical improvement is observed after 2 months.
Drug Interactions
Sedative effects are amplified when co-administered with alcohol, barbiturates, or central nervous system depressants. Oral contraceptives may increase the plasma concentration of flunarizine.
