MONTACIAN is a premier dual-action tablet designed to provide comprehensive relief from respiratory and skin allergies. By targetting histamine pathways and inflammation, it delivers control over sneezing, nasal congestion, and allergic asthma flare-ups.
Indications
This medication is primarily indicated for:
- Allergic Rhinitis: Ongoing control of perennial and seasonal indoor/outdoor allergy symptoms.
- Comorbid Asthma: Relief of respiratory congestion in allergic asthma patients.
- Chronic Idiopathic Urticaria: Reduction of hives and intense itching skin reactions.
Dosage & Administration
The usual recommended adult dose is one tablet taken orally once daily in the evening, with or without food, or as directed by a physician.

Contraindications
Contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to levocetirizine, montelukast, or piperazine derivatives, and in individuals with end-stage renal disease.
Warnings & Precautions
Patients should be monitored closely for any neuropsychiatric alterations, including sleep irregularities or anxious behaviors. Avoid driving or heavy machinery operation if drowsiness occurs.
Drug Interactions
Phenytoin, phenobarbital, and rifampicin may decrease systemic exposure to montelukast. Central nervous system depressants may exacerbate somnolence if taken concurrently.
