Indications
This oral suspension is indicated for the treatment of:
- Otitis Media: Middle ear infections caused by susceptible strains.
- Pharyngitis and Tonsillitis: Upper respiratory tract bacterial infections.
- Uncomplicated Urinary Tract Infections: Acute bacterial bladder infections in children.
Dosage & Administration
Administer orally according to pediatric weight guidelines or medical direction. Reconstitute the dry syrup with sterile water up to the ring mark on the bottle before first administration. Shake well before every dose.

Contraindications
Contraindicated in pediatric patients with a verified history of hypersensitivity to cefixime or any other cephalosporin class antibiotics.
Warnings & Precautions
Carefully evaluate prior hypersensitivity history to penicillins, as cross-reactivity can occur. If allergic reactions present, discontinue administration immediately.
Drug Interactions
Elevated carbamazepine levels have been reported when given concurrently with cefixime. Probenecid can delay renal clearance, extending plasma concentration curves.
Storage Instructions
Store dry powder below 25°C. After reconstitution, store the liquid suspension in a refrigerator between 2°C to 8°C and discard any unused portion after 14 days.
