Product Overview
CIANMOX 250 DT TAB is a fast-dissolving, dispersible broad-spectrum penicillin antibiotic formulated primarily for pediatric or geriatric patients who face difficulty swallowing tablets. It delivers highly effective bacterial eradication in acute community infections.
Indications
This medication is primarily indicated for:
- Ear, Nose, and Throat Infections: Acute otitis media, tonsillitis, pharyngitis, and sinusitis.
- Respiratory Tract Infections: Acute exacerbations of chronic bronchitis and lobar pneumonia.
- Skin and Soft Tissue Infections: Cellulitis, abscesses, and dental infections.
Dosage & Administration
Disperse the tablet in a teaspoonful (5 ml) of boiled and cooled water immediately before administration. Dose varies depending on patient age and infection severity; take exactly as directed by the physician.

- Diarrhea or loose stools
- Nausea or vomiting
- Skin rashes or urticaria
- Oral thrush or vaginal candidiasis (prolonged use)

Contraindications
Contraindicated in individuals with a history of serious allergic reactions (anaphylaxis) to amoxicillin, penicillins, or cephalosporins.
Warnings & Precautions
Discontinue treatment immediately if an allergic reaction occurs. In case of severe, persistent diarrhea during or after treatment, evaluate for pseudomembranous colitis before giving anti-motility drugs.
Drug Interactions
Probenecid decreases the renal tubular secretion of amoxicillin, leading to prolonged blood levels. Concurrent use with oral contraceptives may reduce contraceptive efficacy. Allopurinol increases the risk of developing skin rashes.
Storage Instructions
Store below 25°C in a dry place. Protect from moisture and use immediately once the tablet is dissolved.
