CIANPOD 100 TAB is an advanced third-generation cephalosporin antibiotic formulated as a convenient dispersible tablet. It provides exceptional efficacy against beta-lactamase producing bacteria, serving as a trusted choice for pediatric and adult respiratory care.
Indications
This medication is primarily indicated for:
- Upper Respiratory Tract Infections: Acute otitis media, chronic sinusitis, and pharyngitis/tonsillitis.
- Lower Respiratory Tract Infections: Community-acquired pneumonia and acute bacterial bronchitis.
- Urinary Tract Infections: Uncomplicated urinary tract infections caused by susceptible pathogens.
- Skin Structure Infections: Uncomplicated superficial skin and soft tissue infections.
Dosage & Administration
Disperse the tablet completely in a small amount of purified water prior to administration. The standard dose varies based on age and body weight; take twice daily, preferably with food to maximize absorption.

Contraindications
Contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to Cefpodoxime Proxetil, other cephalosporins, or any component of the dispersible formulation.
Warnings & Precautions
Use with caution in patients with a history of penicillin allergy due to potential cross-reactivity. Dosage adjustments are required in patients with severe renal impairment (creatinine clearance less than 30 ml/min).
Drug Interactions
Antacids, H2 blockers, and proton pump inhibitors reduce gastric acidity and lower the bioavailability of Cefpodoxime. Probenecid reduces renal excretion, increasing plasma levels of the drug.
Storage Instructions
Store below 25°C in a dry place. Protect from moisture and consume immediately after dispersing.
