Indications
This medication is primarily indicated for mild-to-moderate bacterial infections:
- Pharyngitis and Tonsillitis: Infections of the throat and tonsils caused by Streptococcus pyogenes.

- Uncomplicated Urinary Tract Infections: Acute cystitis or urethritis.
- Early Lyme Disease: Treatment of early-stage Lyme disease caused by Borrelia burgdorferi.
Dosage & Administration
For oral administration. The typical adult dose is 250 mg taken twice daily (every 12 hours) for a duration of 5 to 10 days depending on infection severity. It is recommended to take the tablet with food to enhance overall absorption. Do not crush or chew the tablet due to its bitter taste.

Contraindications
