CiaWell Syrup is a premium non-narcotic antitussive formulation designed to provide rapid relief from dry, non-productive coughs. Indications
This medication is primarily indicated for:
- Dry Cough Management: Symptomatic relief of non-productive, dry cough associated with upper respiratory tract infections.
- Bronchitis Associated Cough: Alleviation of persistent coughing spells in acute or chronic bronchitis.
- Respiratory Conditions: Supportive management of cough associated with hyper-reactive airway disease and environmental irritants.
Dosage & Administration
Always administer according to clinical guidance. The standard adult dose is 10 ml (60 mg) taken up to three times daily, with intervals of at least 6 hours between doses. For children over 2 years of age, the dosage is calculated based on body weight, typically 1 mg/kg per dose up to three times a day. Do not exceed the recommended treatment duration without medical re-evaluation.
Adverse Effects
Common side effects are generally mild and transient. They include:
- Gastrointestinal discomfort such as nausea, heartburn, or mild dyspepsia.
- Occasional dizziness or mild headache.
- Transient fatigue or drowsiness in sensitive individuals.

Contraindications
Do not administer to patients with known hypersensitivity to Levodropropizine or any component of the syrupy base. It is strictly contraindicated in individuals suffering from productive coughs with excessive mucus production, as well as in patients with severe hepatic impairment or a history of severe renal dysfunction (creatinine clearance less than 35 ml/min). Contraindicated in children below 2 years of age.
Warnings & Precautions
Use with caution in patients with severe renal insufficiency. Patients operating mechanical devices or driving vehicles should exercise care, as mild drowsiness can occur. The safety of this formulation during pregnancy and lactation has not been established; hence, its use is not recommended during these periods unless deemed vital by a specialist.
Drug Interactions
While peripheral action minimizes central drug-drug interactions, caution should be exercised when co-administering with sedative medications, tranquilizers, or other respiratory depressants to prevent additive psychomotor effects.
Storage Instructions
Store below 30°C in a dry place. Keep the container tightly closed and protected from direct sunlight. Do not freeze.
