DOBECIAN is a highly effective multi-action topical formulation indicated for the relief and management of hemorrhoids and anal fissures. By combining vascular protective, anesthetic, anti-inflammatory, and healing elements, it provides comprehensive therapeutic relief from anorectal discomfort.
Indications
This topical preparation is indicated for the treatment of:
- Internal and External Hemorrhoids (Piles): Reduces swelling, bleeding, and localized vascular engorgement.
- Anal Fissures: Relieves acute painful spasms and accelerates mucosal healing.
- Proctitis and Cryptitis: Manages painful localized inflammation within the anorectal junction.
- Anorectal Pruritus: Effectively dampens persistent burning sensations and severe perianal itching.
Dosage & Administration
Apply a small quantity of the cream to the clean, dry affected perianal area two to three times daily, or insert intra-rectally using the provided clean applicator cap following standard hygiene guidelines, as advised by the supervising clinician.
Adverse Effects
Local adverse effects are generally mild and localized to the application site, including:
- Transient burning or stinging sensations
- Mild localized skin irritation or dryness
- Contact dermatitis in rare, hypersensitive individuals

Contraindications
Do not use in patients with a history of hypersensitivity to amide-type local anesthetics or corticosteroids. It is strictly contraindicated in the presence of untreated tubercular, fungal, or viral perianal infections.
Warnings & Precautions
Avoid contact with eyes, nose, and oral mucosa. Prolonged continuous application should be avoided to prevent local mucosal atrophy or systemic corticosteroid absorption. Patients with co-existing hepatic impairment or severe cardiovascular disorders should use this product with careful clinical oversight.
Drug Interactions
Due to its topical nature, significant systemic interactions are rare. However, caution should be maintained when using concurrent perianal preparations or systemic antiarrhythmic medications like amiodarone, as co-administered local anesthetics may cause additive cardiac effects if absorbed systemically.
