Product Overview
DOLOCEL INJ is a concentrated, low-volume intramuscular injection formulated to provide rapid, powerful relief from severe acute pain and inflammatory states. It is designed for prompt clinical management of post-operative pain, renal colic, and acute arthritic flare-ups.
Indications
This injection is primarily indicated for:
- Acute Renal Colic: Fast-acting relief from severe pain due to kidney or urinary tract stones.
- Post-Operative & Post-Traumatic Pain: Managing severe acute inflammation and pain following surgeries or major trauma.
- Acute Arthritis Flare-ups: Rapid relief during debilitating episodes of rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, or acute gouty attacks.
Dosage & Administration
For deep intramuscular (gluteal) injection only. The standard dose is 75 mg (1 mL) once or twice daily for a maximum of 2 days, after which therapy should be switched to oral options if necessary.
Adverse Effects
Common side effects include:
- Pain or induration at the site of injection
- Nausea, dyspepsia, or epigastric discomfort
- Headache or transient dizziness

Contraindications
Contraindicated in patients with active peptic ulcers, severe heart failure, severe hepatic or renal insufficiency, or a history of aspirin-induced asthma or anaphylactic attacks.
Warnings & Precautions
Avoid accidental intravenous administration. Use with absolute caution in elderly individuals or patients with underlying cardiovascular disease or fluid retention tendencies. Contains Benzyl Alcohol; do not use in neonates or premature infants.
Drug Interactions
Increases the risk of gastrointestinal ulceration when combined with corticosteroids. May increase serum levels of lithium and digoxin, and can diminish the efficacy of antihypertensive agents.

Store below 30°C. Protect from light, do not freeze, and keep out of reach of children.
