Product Overview
FUSI PLUS OINT is a highly effective topical antibacterial formulation containing 2% Sodium Fusidate. It provides excellent skin penetration to target primary and secondary cutaneous bacterial infections, particularly those caused by Staphylococcal species.
Indications
This topical antibiotic ointment is indicated for:
- Impetigo: Treatment of superficial contagious skin infections.
- Folliculitis and Sycosis Barbae: Bacterial infection of hair follicles.
- Infected Dermatitis: Management of secondary bacterial invasions on eczema or minor wounds.
Dosage & Administration
Apply a thin layer to the affected clean skin surface 2 to 3 times daily, typically for a duration of 7 days, or as advised by the clinician. The treated area may be covered with a sterile dressing if clinically required.
Adverse Effects
Localized hypersensitivity reactions including mild skin irritation, pruritus, transient burning, or localized erythema at the site of application.

Contraindications
Contraindicated in patients with a history of hypersensitivity to Sodium Fusidate or fusidic acid derivatives.
Warnings & Precautions
For external ophthalmic or dermatological use only; avoid contact with eyes. Extended or repeated topical use may increase the clinical risk of developing bacterial resistance to the antibiotic.
Drug Interactions
No significant systemic drug interactions are established given its minimal systemic absorption. Avoid co-applying other topical medications simultaneously on the exact same lesion site.
Storage Instructions
Store below 25°C. Do not freeze. Keep the ointment tube tightly closed after every application.
