Product Overview

GEL-M ANALGESIC GEL FOR MOUTH ULCERS is a fast-acting topical formulation designed to provide rapid relief from painful mouth sores, canker sores, and dental irritation. It combines an anti-inflammatory agent with a local anesthetic to alleviate pain and swelling rapidly while protecting the oral mucosa.

Indications

This topical gel is indicated for the temporary relief of pain and inflammation associated with:

  • Mouth Ulcers: Reduces soreness and swelling in aphthous ulcers.
  • Denture Irritation: Relieves friction sores caused by dental appliances.
  • Orthodontic Braces: Soothes mucosal lesions induced by mechanical brackets.

Dosage & Administration

Apply a small amount of gel to the clean tip of a finger and gently massage onto the affected area of the mouth. Repeat application every 3 hours or as directed by a healthcare professional. Avoid eating or drinking for 15 to 30 minutes post-application to maintain optimal contact time.

Adverse Effects

  • Transient burning or stinging sensation at the site of application
  • Localized numbness
  • Hypersensitivity reactions in rare cases

Contraindications

Do not use in patients with a history of hypersensitivity to salicylates, local anesthetics of the amide type, or any excipients in the formulation. Not recommended for children under 16 years of age unless advised by a specialist due to the theoretical risk of Reye's syndrome with salicylates.

Warnings & Precautions

For intraoral topical use only. Do not swallow large quantities of the gel. Discontinue use and consult a physician if symptoms do not improve within 7 days or if local redness and swelling worsen significantly.

Drug Interactions

Systemic interactions are highly unlikely due to minimal topical absorption. However, concurrent heavy use with systemic anticoagulants like warfarin may theoretically enhance the risk of bleeding due to salicylate presence.

Storage Instructions

Store below 25°C in a dry place. Keep the tube tightly closed after every use. Protect from direct sunlight and do not freeze.
