Product Overview
GMP-2 SR TAB is a highly effective, triple-combination oral anti-diabetic medication engineered for the comprehensive management of Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus. It offers sustained release action to ensure stable, day-long control over blood glucose parameters.
Indications
This sustained-release tablet is indicated for:
- Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus: Advanced glycemic control when dual therapy with metformin and a sulfonylurea proves inadequate.
- Insulin Resistance Management: Improving peripheral glucose uptake in poorly controlled adult diabetic profiles.
Dosage & Administration
The standard adult dose is one tablet daily, taken orally with the morning meal, or as directed by an endocrinologist. The tablet must be swallowed whole without crushing or chewing.
Adverse Effects
Common adverse reactions include hypoglycemia, upper respiratory tract infections, mild edema, weight gain, diarrhea, nausea, and metallic taste.

Contraindications
Contraindicated in patients with Type 1 Diabetes, diabetic ketoacidosis, severe renal or hepatic failure, active congestive heart failure (NYHA Class III or IV), or hypersensitivity to any component.
Warnings & Precautions
Regular monitoring of HbA1c, renal function, and liver enzymes is highly recommended. Patients should watch for signs of fluid retention, weight gain, or congestive heart failure risk.
Drug Interactions
Hypoglycemic effects may be potentiated by NSAIDs, beta-blockers, and ACE inhibitors. Thiazide diuretics and corticosteroids may decrease the therapeutic efficacy of this anti-diabetic medication.
