Product Overview
TELNASTAR is a modern oral antidiabetic medication designed to improve glycemic control in adults with type 2 diabetes mellitus. It helps regulate post-meal glucose spikes and supports overall glycemic balance when combined with diet and exercise.
Indications
This medication is primarily indicated for:
- Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus: As monotherapy or as an adjunct to other oral antidiabetic agents to achieve glycemic targets.
Dosage & Administration
The usual adult dosage is 20 mg taken orally once daily, either before or after a meal. In cases of inadequate glycemic response, the dosage may be adjusted to 40 mg daily under clinical supervision.

Contraindications
Contraindicated in patients with a history of severe hypersensitivity to teneligliptin, in patients experiencing diabetic ketoacidosis, or in cases of severe diabetic coma.
Warnings & Precautions
Use with caution in patients with a history of pancreatitis, heart failure, or severe cardiac conduction issues such as QT prolongation. Frequent blood glucose monitoring is advised when initiating combination therapy.
Drug Interactions
Concomitant administration with beta-blockers, salicylic acid, or monoamine oxidase inhibitors may enhance the hypoglycemic effect. Drugs that prolong the QT interval should be co-administered with caution.
