Product Overview
MAGLI SUSP is a triple-action antacid, antiflatulent, and prokinetic suspension designed to neutralize gastric acidity, relieve gas bloating, and control acid reflux. It provides immediate symptomatic relief from hyperacidity while optimizing stomach emptying.
Indications
This oral suspension is indicated for the rapid treatment of:
- Acid Gastritis and Esophagitis: Neutralizes excess acid to relieve epigastric burning and pain.
- Flatulence and Bloating: Resolves painful gas retention and upper abdominal distension.
- Gastroesophageal Reflux with Nausea: Controls active acid regurgitation and associated feelings of nausea.
Dosage & Administration
Adults: 5 ml to 10 ml (1 to 2 teaspoons) taken 1 hour after meals and at bedtime, or as directed by a physician. Shake the suspension vigorously before each dose.
Adverse Effects
Side effects are uncommon when used within recommended guidelines, but may include:
- Mild diarrhea or transient constipation
- Dry mouth or altered bowel frequency
- Rarely, mild hyperprolactinemia due to domperidone

Contraindications
Contraindicated in patients with severe renal impairment (due to the risk of accumulation of magnesium or aluminum salts), gastrointestinal hemorrhage, mechanical obstruction, perforation, or prolactin-releasing pituitary tumors.
Warnings & Precautions
Do not use continuously for extended periods without medical assessment. Exercise caution in elderly individuals or patients with compromised renal clearance. Contains a sorbitol base; consider carefully if the patient has underlying fructose intolerance.
Drug Interactions
Magaldrate can adsorb or complex with other medications, significantly reducing the absorption of tetracyclines, fluoroquinolones (like ciprofloxacin), iron salts, and digoxin; separate administration times by at least 2 hours. Domperidone absorption may be altered by strong CYP3A4 inhibitors like ketoconazole.
Storage Instructions
Store below 30°C in a dry environment. Do not freeze. Keep the bottle cap firmly locked after every application to prevent drying out.
