Product Overview
OMCI CAP is a widely trusted proton pump inhibitor (PPI) formulated with enteric-coated pellets to ensure safe transit through gastric acid, optimizing systemic absorption. It provides long-lasting relief from acid reflux, heartburn, and hypersecretory gastric conditions.
Indications
This medication is highly effective and indicated for:
- Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease (GERD): Severe erosive esophagitis and associated heartburn symptoms.
- Peptic Ulcer Disease: Treatment of active duodenal and gastric ulcers.
- Zollinger-Ellison Syndrome: Long-term management of pathological gastric acid hypersecretion.
- H. pylori Eradication: Used as part of triple therapy regimens alongside target antibiotics.
Dosage & Administration
The standard adult dose is 20 mg taken orally once daily, 30 to 60 minutes before breakfast. Capsules must be swallowed whole with water and should not be crushed or chewed.

Contraindications
Contraindicated in individuals with a known hypersensitivity to omeprazole, substituted benzimidazoles, or any component of the formulation. Co-administration with rilpivirine or nelfinavir is contraindicated.
Warnings & Precautions
Symptomatic response to omeprazole does not preclude the presence of gastric malignancy. Long-term use over several months may be associated with hypomagnesemia or an increased risk of osteoporosis-related fractures.
Drug Interactions
Omeprazole inhibits CYP2C19 and can prolong the elimination of diazepam, warfarin, and phenytoin. It may decrease the absorption of drugs dependent on gastric pH, such as ketoconazole, iron salts, and mycophenolate mofetil.

Store below 25°C in a dry place. Protect from light and moisture. Keep the aluminum strips sealed tightly until consumption.
