Product Overview

PANCEL D is a highly effective gastro-resistant combination designed to treat acid peptic disorders accompanied by nausea or vomiting. It provides sustained relief from hyperacidity, heartburn, and gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD).

Indications

This product is indicated for:

  • Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease (GERD): Relieves severe heartburn and mucosal inflammation.
  • Peptic Ulcer Disease: Promotes healing of gastric and duodenal ulcers while managing hyperacidity.
  • Dyspepsia: Relieves upper abdominal discomfort, bloating, fullness, and associated nausea.

Dosage & Administration

The standard adult dose is one tablet daily, taken in the morning approximately 30 to 60 minutes before breakfast. Tablets must be swallowed whole with water and should not be crushed or chewed.

Contraindications

Contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to pantoprazole, substituted benzimidazoles, or domperidone. Do not use in patients with prolactin-releasing pituitary tumors, gastrointestinal hemorrhage, mechanical obstruction, or cardiac conduction abnormalities.

Warnings & Precautions

Long-term PPI therapy may increase risks of bone fractures, hypomagnesemia, and B12 deficiency; monitor accordingly. Discontinue if patients experience symptoms associated with cardiac arrhythmias during therapy.

Drug Interactions

Pantoprazole may alter the absorption of pH-dependent medications like ketoconazole, iron salts, or atazanavir. Domperidone co-administration with strong CYP3A4 inhibitors (e.g., ketoconazole, erythromycin) is contraindicated due to increased risk of QT prolongation.
