Product Overview
PANCI 40 TAB is a standard therapeutic-strength proton pump inhibitor used to treat moderate to severe gastroesophageal reflux disease, heal peptic ulcers, and manage hypersecretory conditions. It provides sustained control over acid output to facilitate mucosal healing.
Indications
This acid-suppressant medication is primarily indicated for:
- Erosive Esophagitis: Treatment and symptomatic healing of mucosal lesions caused by acid reflux.
- Peptic Ulcer Disease (PUD): Promotes rapid healing of both gastric and duodenal ulcers.
- Zollinger-Ellison Syndrome: Long-term management of pathological gastric acid hypersecretion.
- H. pylori Eradication: Used in combination regimens with appropriate antibiotics.
Dosage & Administration
The standard adult dose is one 40 mg tablet daily, administered 30 to 60 minutes before the morning meal. Swallow whole without crushing or splitting.

Reported side effects include headache, nausea, mild diarrhea, constipation, joint pain, and skin rashes.

Contraindications
Contraindicated in individuals with a history of severe hypersensitivity reactions to pantoprazole formulations.
Warnings & Precautions
Extended usage over several months may lead to vitamin B12 malabsorption. Chronic administration requires monitoring for hypomagnesemia and an increased risk of Clostridium difficile-associated diarrhea.
Drug Interactions
Reduces the absorption of azole antifungals. Co-administration with methotrexate may increase serum concentrations of methotrexate, potentially leading to toxicity.
