Product Overview
PANCI 80 is a high-dose, dual-release gastro-resistant formulation designed for patients requiring intensive, round-the-clock acid suppression. It is ideal for severe erosive esophagitis, refractory GERD, and pathological hypersecretory conditions like Zollinger-Ellison syndrome.
Indications
This high-strength gastro-resistant tablet is indicated for:
- Refractory Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease: Treats patients who show inadequate response to standard daily 40 mg PPI doses.
- Severe Erosive Esophagitis: Accelerates healing in high-grade esophageal ulcerations.
- Zollinger-Ellison Syndrome: Controls extreme acid hypersecretion associated with neuroendocrine tumors.
- Severe Stress Ulcer Prophylaxis: Protects high-risk patients from acute upper gastrointestinal bleeding.
Dosage & Administration
The recommended dose is one tablet daily, taken on an empty stomach 1 hour before breakfast, or as customized by a gastroenterologist. The tablet must be swallowed intact.
Adverse Effects
Side effects include headache, transient dizziness, bowel irregularities (diarrhea or constipation), dry mouth, and peripheral edema in rare cases.

Contraindications
Contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to pantoprazole or other proton pump inhibitors. Do not co-administer with rilpivirine.
Warnings & Precautions
High-dose, long-term PPI therapy can decrease bone mineral density; ensure adequate calcium and Vitamin D intake. Prolonged use may mask underlying gastric malignancies or induce benign gastric fundic gland polyps.
Drug Interactions
Significantly interacts with pH-dependent agents like ketoconazole, mycophenolate mofetil, and iron salts by reducing their therapeutic levels. May increase the international normalized ratio (INR) when used with warfarin.
