Product Overview
PANCI D TAB combines an acid-suppressing proton pump inhibitor with a prokinetic agent to treat gastroesophageal reflux disease complicated by nausea, vomiting, or delayed gastric emptying. It provides relief by reducing acid production while accelerating upper GI transit.
Indications
This combination therapy is primarily indicated for:
- Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease (GERD): Relieves acid reflux, severe heartburn, and associated nausea or epigastric fullness.
- Dyspepsia: Manages functional dyspepsia accompanied by delayed gastric emptying.
- Gastric Ulcers with Dysmotility: Heals mucosal ulcerations while regulating upper gastrointestinal motility.
Dosage & Administration
The standard adult dosage is one tablet daily, taken on an empty stomach approximately 30 to 60 minutes before breakfast. Swallow whole with water.
Adverse Effects
Adverse clinical effects may include dry mouth, headache, transient diarrhea, abdominal cramps, and hyperprolactinemia (rarely leading to galactorrhea or breast tenderness).

Contraindications
Contraindicated in patients with prolactin-releasing pituitary tumors, mechanical gastrointestinal obstruction, gastrointestinal perforation, or pre-existing cardiac conduction abnormalities (such as QT prolongation).
Warnings & Precautions
Use with caution in elderly patients due to a small risk of cardiac arrhythmias associated with domperidone. Regular monitoring of liver and kidney function is recommended in patients with organ impairment.
Drug Interactions
Avoid concurrent use with potent CYP3A4 inhibitors (e.g., ketoconazole, erythromycin) as they can significantly elevate plasma levels of domperidone, increasing the risk of cardiac side effects.
