Product Overview
RABTAB TAB features gastro-resistant Rabeprazole Sodium, a highly efficient acid suppressant that targets hyperacidity at the cellular level. It is formulated to heal ulcers, relieve heartburn, and provide long-lasting protection against erosive esophagitis.
Indications
This medication is primarily used for:
- Active duodenal ulcers and benign gastric ulcers
- Erosive or ulcerative Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease (GERD)
- Long-term maintenance therapy for GERD
- Zollinger-Ellison syndrome and other hypersecretory conditions
Dosage & Administration
For adults, the standard dose is one tablet (20 mg) daily taken in the morning before food. Tablets should be swallowed whole with water and never broken, split, or chewed.
Adverse Effects
Generally well-tolerated. Potential side effects include mild headache, diarrhea, nausea, rash, dry mouth, asthenia, and abdominal discomfort.

Contraindications
Contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity to rabeprazole or any inactive ingredients used in the tablet matrix. Not recommended during pregnancy or lactation unless deemed essential.
Warnings & Precautions
Symptomatic response to rabeprazole therapy does not preclude the presence of gastric malignancy. Periodic monitoring is advised during long-term therapy, especially for patients prone to vitamin B12 malabsorption or magnesium depletion.
Drug Interactions
Interacts with drugs whose absorption is gastric pH-dependent, such as atazanavir, ketoconazole, and digoxin. Concomitant use with methotrexate may elevate serum levels of the drug.
