Product Overview
SUCRA O SUSPENSION (170ml) is an extended-volume gastrointestinal coating agent designed to alleviate pain and accelerate healing in peptic ulcer disease and esophagitis. The synergism of a cytoprotectant and an acid-stable local anesthetic ensures optimal mucosal recovery and prompt pain control.
Indications
This therapy is targeted for:
- Active duodenal and gastric ulcerations
- Chronic gastritis and esophagitis
- Prophylaxis of gastrointestinal bleeding from stress ulcers
- Severe symptomatic relief from gastroesophageal reflux
Dosage & Administration
Adults: 10 ml orally up to four times daily, taken on an empty stomach (1 hour before major meals and at bedtime). Ensure the bottle is shaken thoroughly before administration.
Adverse Effects
Constipation is the primary adverse reaction. Less frequent complaints include dry mouth, transient skin rashes, diarrhea, and nausea.

Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to any active drug or inactive constituent in the base. It must not be administered to patients with severe renal impairment due to potential aluminum toxicity.
Warnings & Precautions
Use carefully in patients with intestinal motility disorders or altered renal functions. Not recommended for pediatric use unless advised by a specialist.
Drug Interactions
May reduce bioavailability of anticoagulants, levothyroxine, and quinolone antibiotics. Maintain a strict minimum dosing gap of two hours between these agents.
Storage Instructions
Store below 30°C in a cool place, away from light. Do not freeze, as freezing compromises the suspension matrix.
